Service Package: RENERGY Impact

Through your membership in RENERGY, your company gains access to a comprehensive service package that supports innovation, sustainability, growth, internationalization and scaling. Our services are designed to give members a competitive edge in the green transition and contribute to the development of future energy solutions.

RENERGY acts as a catalyst for collaboration and value creation in the energy sector. We drive collaboration-based innovation to enable scaling and investment decisions over the next three years — a “fast track” for energy technology. We bring experience from a wide range of major innovation projects. The goal is to deliver solutions that align with the power grid, make renewable energy more accessible and support industry, transport and real estate in the green transition.

Membership Fee and Invoicing

Cluster members will be invoiced annually for a membership fee, which is divided into:

1. Service Package – covering specific activities, events, and member offerings
2. Cluster Operations – covering administration, strategic development, visibility, and reporting

This model has been introduced to meet the requirements of Innovation Norway and to ensure transparency about what the membership covers.

The most important thing to know if you’re already a cluster member: The total amount on your membership invoice will not increase. The amount is simply distributed differently to meet the new requirements.

What’s included in the service package?

The service package includes activities and offerings that give members access to:

• Discounted access to professional events and networks: Participate in seminars, workshops, and study tours that provide insights into new technologies, trends, and solutions in the energy sector.
• Scaling program: RENERGY offers guidance and project support to ensure effective progress in collaborative innovation projects under national and international calls.
• International projects and export opportunities: Access to global networks, EU-funded projects, and market support to help members reach new markets and build strategic partnerships.
• Specialist networks and advisory services: Connections to experts in digitalization, artificial intelligence, and sustainability, along with advisory support to strengthen innovation capacity.
• Visibility and profiling: RENERGY helps promote members through communication, newsletters, and participation in national and international arenas.
• Competence development: Industry-specific resource groups and training programs that enhance companies’ competitiveness and innovation capabilities.

The service package is tailored to the needs of member companies and is continuously developed to ensure maximum value.

Focus Areas

RENERGY is a key player in the energy transition, focusing on innovation, collaboration and scaling of solutions that address future power needs. Our strategic focus areas are:

• Scaling of energy solutions – We facilitate investment decisions in scalable projects, connect the supplier industry with grid operators, and support the rapid commercialization of innovative solutions with export potential.
• Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence (AI) – RENERGY supports early adoption of digital technologies and AI to reduce risk and increase innovation efficiency. Members gain access to specialist expertise and training to strengthen digital maturity.
• Preparedness and critical infrastructure – We develop solutions that ensure the resilience of energy systems, in collaboration with international partners, including a Ukrainian energy cluster and European stakeholders.
• Internationalization and export – RENERGY aims to increase export activity by 30% by 2026 through EU projects and strategic partnerships across Europe.
• Cluster development and cross-sector collaboration – We continue to build a strong partner network across energy sectors and facilitate collaboration that drives innovation and new value chains.

Membership Fee and Pricing Structure

Formal Requirements for Support from Innovation Norway

To receive subsidies on the service package through Innovation Norway, member companies must meet specific requirements in accordance with the EU regulations for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs):

• The company must meet the EU’s SME definition as described in the state aid regulations.
• The company must not be in a situation defined as “in financial difficulty” according to GBER Article 2(18).
• If the discount exceeds 50%, the company must document that it has not received other aid exceeding a total of €200,000 over a rolling three-year period.

For members that do not fall under the EU’s SME definition, we will work together to find a tailored solution.

De Minimis Aid

The maximum allowable aid under the de minimis regulation is €300,000 over a rolling three-year period.
